Had a fantastic stay at Carragh House! Des and Oonagh are super friendly hosts, really made us feel at home. Loved the delicious Irish breakfast and comfy beds. Just a little too warm at night, but overall, we really enjoyed our time there!

Carragh House Bed & Breakfast offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with hosts Oonagh and Des who are genuinely dedicated to providing excellent service. The comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast made my stay enjoyable. The location is ideal, with local pubs and restaurants within walking distance, making it a convenient base for exploring Castlebar. The atmosphere was peaceful, which is perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The ceiling height in the upstairs rooms may pose a challenge for taller guests.

ample parking space, perfect location, personal touch in hospitality
The TV is comically small for today's standards!!! The lack of air conditioning made it quite uncomfortable during warmer nights!!! The cleanliness of glass surfaces left much to be desired!!!

Comfortable room with tasty breakfast options.
The room was too warm at night and had no fan, which made sleeping difficult. I found the small TV less enjoyable than I expected. Navigating Castlebar was frustrating, as the town layout is confusing and the directions provided were lacking.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and provided excellent local advice. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast had a wonderful variety of options. Ample parking with extra security measures for motorcycles was a definite plus. I appreciated the serene atmosphere, which was perfect for exploring the area.
The TV in the room was quite small and not up to modern standards.

The room was spacious with ample storage. I loved the grooved shower base—it’s super grippy! Plus, the ensuite was well-lit and had a good-sized shower. The bed was comfy, but I wished for a fan since it was warm at night. Opening the window for fresh air was a plus. Riley, the sweet dog, made my stay even cozier!
